PS3 BioShock Infinite has Move support on day one

PlayStation Move support will be included in the PlayStation 3 version of BioShock Infinite from the day one, Irrational Games has revealed.

The hotly-anticipated shooter was confirmed to feature PS Move support at E3 2011, though little else has been said about its inclusion since.

Speaking to Eurogamer this week, BioShock maestro Ken Levine conceded it is difficult to talk about the motion-sensing controller’s application in the game, likening the subject to discussing music.

“Talking about Move support is like talking about music,” commented Levine. “It’s hard to do.

“You’ve got to put the thing in somebody’s hand and say, ‘here’s our Move support. How does it feel to you?’

“We’re definitely going to be doing that at some point. But it’s hard to talk about because it’s like, ‘hey, does it feel good? Does it feel right? Does it break down barriers of interface for you?’

“That’s the goal of Move, right? It’s to make you forget you’re playing with a controller. It’s to make that much more transparent. The proof’s going to be in the pudding,” he added.

BioShock Infinite is pencilled in for release in North America on October 16 for PlayStation 3, PC and Xbox 360. The game arrives in Europe on October 19.
