PSU has learned that Redwood Falls – a PlayStation 3 exclusive zombie shooter from Kuju Entertainment – has officially been put on hold. The game was first unveiled at Play UK in 2006.
Utilizing the Unreal Engine 3, the title showed off a unique gameplay feature that allowed players to shoot off skin, muscle, and eventually down to organs and bone. Enemies would also boast the ability to regenerate body parts and tissue in real-time.
However, according to our Kuju Entertainment contact, the game’s future is looking pretty bleak. "As for Redwood Falls – the game itself is on hold," a company representative told us.
There is always a chance that the game may re-enter development, but it’s pretty unlikely. If anything changes, we’ll let you know. Stay tuned.
