PlayStation 3 owners in the U.S. really like their broadband connection, even more than Xbox 360 and Wii owners. According to research firm The Diffusion Group, 78 percent of PS3 users have their console hooked up to the internet, while Xbox 360 and Wii users have 73 and 54 percent respectively.
The higher percentage of online users likely has to do with the free PSN and built in Wi-Fi. The Diffusion Group also says that having consoles connecting to the internet not only enhances gaming, but it also allows for more online media, such as movie rental services.
Of course, PS3 has some great online games, and we wouldn’t be surprised if that 78 percent increases in the near future.
