Results from a poll conducted last week by Reuters/Ipsos shows Sony’s PlayStation 4 console is currently the top next-generation console choice among American consumers.
Of the 1,297 people surveyed online last week, 26% said they are "likely to purchase" the PS4, while the Xbox One only saw a 15% response. The gap is even larger among respondents under the age of 40 (408 people) with 41% favoring the PS4 versus 27% choosing the Xbox One.
Reuters accounts PS4’s $100 cheaper price tag, as well as the confusion and backlash following Microsoft’s former controversial Xbox One policies for aiding in PS4’s lead.
