PS4 getting 100 new games this year, console ‘generally sold out’ at retailers

PlayStation 4 is set to receive 100 titles this year spanning first and third-party offerings, John Koller, Marketing Director for Sony Computer Entertainment America (SCEA) has announced.

Speaking during a PlayStation Media Summit this week (via IGN), Koller also confirmed that Sony’s latest home console is pretty much sold out across retailers.

“This is a story of engagement. When demand outstrips supply, the promise of what’s to come is really critical,” said Koller.

Sony’s first-party onslaught begins next month with the hotly-anticipated launch of inFamous: Second Son.

Koller also dropped a slew of PS4-related statistics at the event, which you can catch up on in our earlier news story here.
