PS4 Killzone: Shadow Fall used 4GB RAM

Guerrilla Games has revealed that the demo of Killzone: Shadow Fall showcased at the PlayStation 4 reveal event in New York City utilized half of the console’s available RAM.

To be more specific, the visually-striking demo gobbled up 3072MB (3GB) for video resources powering the demo, while 1,536MB were allocated to system resources. A further 128GB were shared between the two.

PS4, as is widely known by now, boasts a total of 8GB GDDR5 RAM.

Guerrilla also shared some more stats, confirming the Killzone demo packed 8200 physics objectives, 500 particle systems and real-time reflections – which apparently feature “a lot of Guerrilla secret sauce,” whatever that means.

Killzone: Shadow Fall was among the most impressive titles showcased at the PS4 reveal from a visual point of view.

The sci-fi FPS is due out alongside Sony’s next-generation console at launch this holiday season.
