Currently, the PlayStation Network is fully online, and we’re awaiting to hear from Sony on the official word on what’s happening.

“NP refers to a network server error. Please powercycle your router and/or connect using a wired connection.
If issues continue, try again later.”
The PlayStation Network (PSN) was down for a short period early today but was back online after about an hour. In the last hour, from 7-8pm BST, there are some reports of sign-in issues, though the problem doesn’t appear to be widespread.
The PSN has experienced some unscheduled downtime over recent months, though connection problems have usually been fixed quite quickly.
