Could the date of October 17, 2013, hidden within this The Last Of Us screenshot, be the final release date for PlayStation 4?
Speculation is running rife that the date will probably have some significant meaning as Naughty Dog is no stranger to dropping hints of future events within its videogames. In Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception, for example, players found a newspaper on the floor with the headline “Scientists Are Still Struggling To Understand Deadly Fungus,” an obvious reference to The Last Of Us.
In this screenshot, we see the date on an evacuation notice board, warning residents to leave the area at 8pm 10/17/13.
The Last Of Us launches worldwide on June 14, 2013 and follows the stories of Joel and Ellie as they attempt to survive amidst the rapid spread of a deadly fungal infection.
