PlayStation 4 sales have reached 1.1 million in Japan, according to the latest Media Create figures.
Sony’s current-generation console was released in the Land of the Rising Sun in February 2014, though sales in the region have been quite sluggish in comparison to the PS3 and PS2. Right now, the system currently lags behind the PS Vita and Nintendo Wii U in Japan.
Still, one million plus sales is a great achievement, especially seeing as how many of the system’s big hitters have yet to see release in Japan.
PS4 has sold 18.5 million units worldwide as of January 4, 2015. Next month sees the release of one of its major titles, Bloodborne.
