Sony Interactive Entertainment has revealed the PlayStation 4 console has reached more than 53.4 million units sold worldwide, following a successful 2016 holiday season where over 6.2 million PS4s sold.
The 2016 holidays also saw over 50.4 million PS4 games sold worldwide, both physically and digitally.
PS4 sales data was collected 11/21/2016 to 1/1/2017 in Japan and Asia, 11/20/2016 to 12/31/2016 in North America and Latin America, and from 11/21/2016 – 12/31/2016 in Europe.
