Sony Interactive Entertainment has rolled out a new PS4 firmware update for users to download, with PS4 system update 14.00 adding yet more stability improvements for the system. You can read the full patch notes below.

Given the fact PS4 is now approaching its 13th anniversary, with the console having launched in the US and UK in November 2013, Sony isn’t going to be adding any new features for the system at this stage in its lifecycle. However, the fact it’s still getting stability improvements more than a decade after launch isn’t too surprising, as the PS3 also received similar support. Many of the PS4’s biggest games have since been remastered for the PS5 over the past few years, including Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, Uncharted: The Lost Legacy, The Last of Us, The Last of Us Part II, Days Gone, Ghost of Tsushima, and more.
