PlayStation 4 has sold over one million units in Germany, Sony Computer Entertainment Inc. (SCEI) has announced.
The format holder confirmed that the sales milestone was reached on October 21, putting PS4 in “pole position” for the German console market.

Neu-Isenburg: November 18th, 2014. Sony Computer Entertainment Germany announced today that over 1,000,000 PlayStation 4 systems have been sold in Germany. The milestone was reached on October 21st 2014. The impressive number underlines once again the PS4′s enormous popularity among the gaming community less than a year after the official launch.
Due to the outstanding success the next-generation platform has already sold ten million units worldwide, not only ensuring the “pole position” in the German market, but also ensuring its continuous growth.”
PS4 has sold 13.5 million units worldwide, putting it comfortably ahead of the Xbox One. In addition, Sony also recently revealed that its online subscription service, PlayStation Plus, has notched up 7.9 million members.
