PS4 tournaments feature gets ESL competitive gaming

The world’s leading esports company, ESL, announced today that it will integrate its competitive gaming systems and technology into the PlayStation’s newly-launched PS4 tournaments feature.

As a result of the partnership, millions of gamers who own Sony’s flagship gaming console can look forward to participating in numerous competitions held by ESL, which will be easily accessible by a few button presses. In addition, you can access tournaments for interactions, such as Check-ins, via the PlayStation App or through ESL Play.

NBA 2K17 will kick off the first of the PS4 tournaments, marking the beginning of the NBA season. This will be followed by Mortal Kombat X, Project Cars, and more. 

Sony launched the PS4 in November 2013 and has to date sold more than 40 million consoles worldwide. The console has gained a significant lead over the Xbox One, and recently received an update in the form of the PS4 Slim. November 10 will see the launch of the PS4 Pro, a high-end version of the console that allows for 4K gaming.
