PlayStation 4’s latest firmware update appears to be causing users a few niggles since its launch yesterday.
According to a number of gamers on Reddit, PS4 update 4.72 has resulted in a number of players being displayed as offline, despite the fact they are actually online. Those affected by the issue are still able to view their friends as online, as well see what games they are playing and any active parties.
Other users are reporting that a red ‘X’ is listed next to their name, which is affecting their ability to play online as well as invite others to a party. Sony has not yet addressed the issue, and it’s unknown just how wide spread it is. However, we’ll be sure to keep you updated on any developments.
