PS4’s best-selling game in Japan is Metal Gear Solid 5 and, surprisingly, Knack

Famitsu Magazine (via Kotaku) has published a list of the top-selling PlayStation titles in Japan since the console’s launch in February 2014, with Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain from Konami topping the list.

The critically acclaimed stealth-action title sold nearly 426,000 units to date in the country, and was followed, surprisingly, by Knack. While panned by critics upon launch, the Sony-developed title managed to shift over 400,000 copies since release, making rumors of a follow-up not all that shocking.

Of course, Knack had an advantage as it was bundled with consoles at launch. Regardless, no doubt Mark Cerny and team will be chuffed at the game’s performance.

It’s also worth noting that a large chunk of the top 20 is comprised of western-developed titles, with Grand Theft Auto V, Call of Duty: Black Ops, Battlefield 4, and Star Wars Battlefront among others pulling in respective numbers.

Check out the full list below.
