Disney Plus is one the many apps available for streaming content on the PS5, but it appears users have hit a bit of a snag – it is limited to 1080p resolution instead of the 4K standard that you’d expect in this day and age.
PS5 Resolution Limit On Disney Plus Reported By Users
As reported by Cord Cutters, Disney Plus owners on Sony’s new telly box have found that the streaming service is only capable of 1080p. This is despite the fact 4K resolution is available for movie playback on the service for other formats.

Speaking of Disney+ on the PS5, users have discovered that playback currently seems to top out at 1080p resolution. We’ve since confirmed the issue on our own PlayStation 5. Movies we know are available in 4K via the app on other platforms currently only offer up to HD resolution on PS5.
Hopefully this issue will be rectified at some point, as there’s no reason why PS5 can’t support 4K for Disney Plus.
