Valve has made the PS5 DualSense controller fully compatible to all Steam users, after previously rolling out the feature incrementally following the PS5’s launch in November. Previously, it was available to Steam beta users.
Steam Users Gain Access To PS5 DualSense
The latest client update to Steam now allows all users of Valve’s game delivery platform to access PS5 DualSense features in compatible games using the Input API.
So far, a number of high-profile titles can use the DualSense controller including Death Stranding, No Man’s Sky and Horizon Zero Dawn, which support LED, trackpad, rumble and gyro features. The Xbox Series X controller is also compatible with Steam games, too.

The DualSense controller features a number of great additions in comparison to the DualSense 4, such as haptic feedback and adaptive triggers. There’s also the Create button, which functions in a similar manner to the Share button on the PS4 pad.
