PS5 Firmware Update Introduces DualSense Multi-Device Pairing And Power Saver Mode

Sony has begun rolling out PS5 system software update 25.06-12.00.00 today, September 17, 2025. This update introduces two major features. Players can now pair DualSense controllers with multiple devices at once. It also adds a Power Saver mode for supported games

The new DualSense pairing feature lets users register up to four devices. Players can switch between them directly from the controller. This makes transitions between PS5, PC, and mobile devices seamless. To pair, go to Settings > System > System Software > System Software Update and Settings.

The Power Saver mode, accessible via Settings > System > Power Saving > Use Power Saver, reduces energy use in supported games. When active, the system scales back performance. An icon shows next to the game in the Control Center’s Switcher. Games like Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, Demon’s Souls, and Ghost of Yōtei will support it soon.

The update also improves stability for DualSense and DualSense Edge wireless controllers, PS VR2 Sense controllers, and the Access controller. Users can pair multiple devices for added flexibility. System performance and stability are enhanced overall. This makes for a smoother gaming experience.
