Sony Interactive Entertainment has issued a statement confirming that the PS5 Pro release in India is currently not set in stone.
Speaking with HighChaosRun, the company blamed the lack of a PS5 Pro release date on Wi-Fi 7.
PS5 Pro will not be available in some countries (which presently includes India) where 6GHz wireless band used in IEEE 802.11be (Wi-Fi 7) has not yet been allowed.

While it claims that Wi-Fi 7 is the main reasons behind the lack of a PS5 Pro release in India, it’s worth noting that iPhone 16 and various laptops in the Lunar Lake Intel range feature Wi-Fi 7 have all released in that region.
The PS5 Pro is now available in most major markets and retails for $699.99/£699.99. The console is a more powerful version of the standard PS5 that originally released in November 2020, and is able to significantly increase the performance of compatible games in terms of resolution and frame rate with an Enhanced patch. In addition, its Game Boost feature also allows for some noticeable enhancements to both PS5 and over 8,500 backwards compatible titles without an update.
