PS5 Pro Release Reportedly Due In Second Half Of 2024

Sony will likely release the PS5 Pro during the second half of 2024, according to a report on CNBC. The new model has been rumoured for some time now, although the format holder hasn’t announced anything official yet.

Speaking to CNBC, Kantan Games CEO Serkan Toto seemed very certain that Sony is gearing up for a revised version of its flagship console, following the release of the colloquially-dubbed PS5 Slim in November.

There seems to be a broad consensus in the game industry that Sony is indeed preparing a launch of a PS5 Pro in the second half of 2024,. And Sony will want to make sure to have a great piece of hardware ready when GTA VI hits in 2025, a launch that will be a shot in the arm for the entire gaming industry.

This latest report ties in with what Jeff Grubb has said about the launch of a PS5 Pro, which he claimed will arrive in late 2024 with Sony’s own DLSS solution. According to a separate report last summer, the PS5 Pro is known as Project Trinity, and is set to arrive in November this year.
