PS5 Pro Reportedly Sells Out In Germany As Grand Theft Auto VI Fuels Demand For Sony’s Console

A report on Play3.de has revealed that the PS5 Pro has selling out across Germany, with the upcoming Grand Theft Auto VI cited as a strong driver for demand of Sony’s high-end console.

As a result, PS5 Pro is becoming increasingly more expensive to obtain in the country. For example, the German branch of Amazon lists the console for €999.999, but mentions “Usually ready to ship in 3 to 7 months.” Likewise, Idealo also lists the console for the same price, rather than Sony’s RRP of €899.99.

Meanwhile, Sony’s PlayStation Direct store displays “currently unavailable” for the PS5 Pro, so you can’t even order it in Germany directly from the manufacturer. Given the fact GTA VI is just around the corner, it’s not surprising to see that demand for Sony’s high-end platform has increased a lot, since marketing has been ramping up for the game over the summer, which heavily features PS5 Pro.

GTA VI is scheduled to release on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S on November 19.
