The latest PS5 System Update is now out and you can see the full patch notes here when it comes to what is included. But, a number of Trophy features have also been added but flew under the radar when announced in yesterday’s patch notes.
So, for starters, you can now access screenshots and videos taken the moment you earn a trophy and also choose which grade of trophy the system takes screenshots and videos for. But, on top of that, when you select a hidden trophy you can now press the square button to quickly show the hidden information, rather than having to go right into each trophy and its details.
New updates to the system also include the ability to go directly to a game’s trophy list from a trophy card by selecting “Go To Trophies”. A key quality-of-life improvement is that once you have set a sort order for your trophies they will now remain sorted in that order for all games. And, when you sort them by rarity or earned date, the trophy cards will show the rarity of earned date information. The final update allows you to go directly to your trophy stats by pressing the Square button on the Trophies screen.
So, that covers everything and we have to say, these changes are worthwhile and make a large difference to the experience. The ease of access to some information is the main plus here and will hopefully alleviate some of the issues trophy hunters have had.
