The latest issue of Official PlayStation Magazine UK has revealed a brand new survival game for PS5 called Project Oxygen, which features a stormy Earth and a customisable zeppelin which houses everything you own.
The section of the magazine is short but the developer Far From Home does offer some details about the game on top of the concept art which you can see above. Far From Home is comprised of members who have worked on the Dying Light and Dead Island games, as well as Divinity: Original Sin.
The game is described as “an ambitious first-person adventure set in a future where humanity has failed, storms plague the Earth, and life on the planet’s surface has evolved into something…new”. You will explore the world in a customisable zeppelin, which will act as your airbase. This airbase will house everything you need in the game. It is your transport and it holds your life support, storage a research laboratory, shelter, and an escape route.
Right now the game seems to be a mix of the survival aspects of Metro, with the horrifying creatures you would find in something like Dying Light. The game is still in early development, but it is great to get this early taste.
Project Oxygen is set to release for PS5.
