Sales of physical PS5 games in the UK have increased by a massive 324% over the past week, as retailers steadily receive fresh stock of Sony‘s next-generation console.
In terms of actual titles, Spider-Man: Miles Morales shot up 161% while Demon’s Souls skyrocketed by 291%. Meanwhile, third-party titles such as Calll of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and Assassin’s Creed Valhalla shot up by 56% and 174% (the latter being the PS5 version), respectively.
The news comes following the launch of Hitman 3, which sold through 49% of copies on the PS5 after launching on multiple formats on Friday.
Retailers including GAME and Amazon UK received fresh PS5 stock last week, although they promptly sold out. However, with regards to GAME, a scalper group claimed that it had obtained around 2,000 units from the restock. The retailer late responded that it was taking measures to ensure only one order would be issued per customer.
Sony launched the PS5 in the US on November 12 and in the UK on November 19. The console is reported to have sold over four million units during its first six weeks.
