PSN crisis: Sony sends out new SDKs to devs?

Gamasutra is reporting that Sony’s distributed new software development kits (SDKs) to developers in wake of the on-going PlayStation Network outage.

According to the report, the electronics giant has requested that developers install the SDKs on PlayStation 3 dev kits in preparation for PSN’s return, which is expected to happen within the next week or so.

The update will apparently “provide new security features” after Sony confirmed Tuesday that numerous user-specific PSN data, including user passwords, addresses and possibly credit cards, had been compromised as a result of the hack job.

Stay tuned for more info as it breaks.
