Sony will be carrying out scheduled maintenance on the PlayStation Network (PSN) on Tuesday, 19 July. During this period, the PSN will be down for one hour between 5.30-6.30am.
While ‘routine maintenance and improvements’ are carried out, you won’t be able to access the PlayStation Store, PlayStation Video and Account Management options.
Providing you sign into your PlayStation Network account via your main profile prior to the maintenance period, you should be able to play games as usual.
Speaking about the PSN downtime, Sony said: "We recommend activating your PS4 as your primary console before maintenance begins so you can continue to play most games and use 3rd party services during maintenance. To activate your console, sign in to your PlayStation™Network profile and select [Settings] > [PlayStation™Network/Account Management] > [Activate as Your Primary PS4] > [Activate]."
