Amanita Design’s revealed that it will be bringing point ‘n click romp Machinarium to PlayStation Network later this year.
Creator Jakub Dvorsky dropped the news during a recent appearance at Nottingham Trent University.
In addition to confirming a PS3 release, Dvorsky also said the company plans on looking into a possible release for the title on the BlackBerry PlayBook tablet.
An Xbox LIVE release isn’t on the cards, however, as Microsoft wasn’t interested in the idea since the game’s already available on PC and Mac.
"We were already refused by Microsoft to bring the game to Xbox," Dvorsky told CausalGaming.biz.
"They weren’t interested because the game was already released for Mac and Windows, and Microsoft demanded it as part of an exclusivity deal.”
"We’re not interested in Microsoft anymore,” he added.
We’ll have more on Machinarium’s PS3 debut as it breaks.
