With millions of gamers worldwide paying a subscription fee for PlayStation Plus so they can access PS4 multiplayer on the PlayStation Network, it’s no wonder people are getting fed up with the sporadic network stability, today being taken offline with no explanation from Sony Computer Entertainment.
Right now, the PlayStation Network is down again, but this time it’s offline worldwide. You only have to browse through the comments on social media channels and popular forums to see that PS Vita, PS3, and PS4 owners are pretty much fed up with the lack of explanation from Sony. The issue seems to be cropping up more frequently than ever before.
On Reddit, here’s just a sample of some of the user comments, which show that some PlayStation owners are immediately concerned about security every time PSN goes down.
"PSN was more reliable before we had to pay. It’s mezmerising. Sony are talking the talk, then trying to walk, but falling over in slow motion. My friends list even refuses to load 90% of the time, messages take forever to appear and photo takes longer to open. I know it’s not my connection, im hoping its not the system hit its peak, im assuming it’s the network, which is still pretty embarrassing. All I want from you Sony, is a stable network and the ability to load my friends list. Too much to ask?" – Eazyyy
"It’s pretty ridiculous how often PSN seems to go down. When they made people have to pay for online I thought they would spend that money making their infrastructure better." – kamz_00
“This is stupid, the amount PSN is either down or hacked. They really need to sort it quickly. I love my ps4 much more than my One, but there is no denying the One’s network is a lot more reliable” – AudioRejectz
"Time to cancel my credit card…." – Jrmurph3
"And why hasn’t Sony done anything to prevent this sort of thing? You’d think they would learn considering PSN has been hacked a few times already" – aaegler
"Same problem I spent too much money in ps4 and can’t get proper service I should have gotten the Xbox one instead of this shitty consul." – nabeelsteen
Perhaps Sony should react quicker to these instances by informing consumers as soon as possible about what’s happening and reassuring us that something is being done to resolve the issues.
Stay tuned to PSU for more updates on the current PSN issues.
