According to reports from website True Game Headz, Super Ego Studios’ canned PlayStation Network exclusive Rat Race may be resurrected as a multiplatform title.
The episodic comedy romp was originally unveiled 2007 before Sony surreptitiously cancelled the project around July of last year. Said Sony Worldwide Studios boss, Shuhei Yoshida: "So, yeah, we stopped it. We really liked the concept; it’s like The Office TV series. It was kind of funny but we were not quite happy with how the game was turning out and there was some difficulty in development."
However, it now appears the game may be given a second chance, with Super Ego currently in talks with a number of third party publishers in an effort to drum up the necessary funds in order to have the game released on PSN. Given the fact the game is no longer a Sony first party title, it is likely we’ll see it pop up on PC and Xbox 360, too.
