KARMA: The Dark World is a new game revealed during the Wired Direct 2024. Developed by Chinese team Pollard Studio, and published by Wired Productions, KARMA is a psychological narrative horror game, set in a world where a corporation controls everything, and you’re sent into the minds of other humans to try and ensure that control continues.
Leviathan Corporation is the “omnipresent” company that sends the player, Daniel, into other peoples minds. You’re an agent from the corporation’s Thought Bureau, known as a ‘roam agent’ due to the nature of your work.
KARMA is a horror game, but it’s also an espionage game, one that explores a number of deeply human themes all wrapped up in what looks like quite the scary package.
There’s no news as to when we’ll be able to check out KARMA: The Dark World, but hopefully Tuesday’s trailer in the Wired Direct 2024 is part of an effort to reinvigorate excitement for the game, with a release date announcement soon to follow.
