Rainbow Six: Patriots has 200-strong workforce

Ubisoft Montreal’s Cedric Orvoine has revealed that the studio has a whopping 200 people beavering away on Rainbow Six: Patriots.

The news comes in light of a slew of new info on the game trumpeting the shooter’s ‘ultra-realistic’ narrative and improved combat. Players will be able to experience a what-if scenario inspired by real events and characters, while combat implements new Rappel and Breach techniques such as Wall & Ceiling Breach and Aussie Style Rappel to prepare you for a myriad of combat situations.

Meanwhile, Patriots also introduces Scan mode, allowing you to breach and infiltrate new areas strategically. Multiplayer will also be part of the equation, which rewards gamers for coordinating as a team effectively. New to online play is a holographic display known as the Sandtable, allowing you to acquaint yourself with the game’s various maps before you gear up for action.

Rainbow Six: Patriots is due out on PlayStation 3, PC and Xbox 360 in 2013.
