Ubisoft has rolled out the latest update for Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
The French publishing giant detailed update 2.1 last week following its PC debut, and has now made the patch available for download on Sony and Microsoft’s home consoles. It’s around the same size as the PC version, so expect it to eat up just over 1GB on your hard drive.

Rainbow Six Siege was released for PS4, PC, and Xbox One back in December, and is seen as the spiritual successor to the ambitious Rainbow Six Patriots, which was canceled back in 2014. A tactical first-person shooter, Siege features heavy emphasis on environmental destruction, and sees gamers squaring off against each other online in a variety of game modes.
As part of the counter-terrorist unit Rainbow, players have access to a variety of different classes, each of which possesses unique stats in terms of perks, bombs, and gadgets. While competitive multiplayer is the meat and potatoes of Siege, players can also engage in cooperative and single-player missions.
