The PS Vita version of Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault is now slated for a January 2013 release but the PlayStation 3 version is still coming out Nov. 27 in North America. If you pick up Full Frontal Assault on PS3, you’ll get a downloadable version for Vita with cross-save and competitive cross-play support.
We reported last month that the game was coming Nov. 27 and would set you back $20. Tin Giant is working on bringing Insomniac’s PS3 game to Vita, and it was announced today that it simply needs more time in the development oven.
"In order to provide the best gameplay experience possible, the PS Vita version of Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault will be coming out in January 2013," a Sony rep said in a statement on the official PS Blog.
You can still pick up the PS3 version at retailers and on the PSN on Nov. 27 but you’ll have to wait a couple more months before trying out the Vita version. However, to reward your patience, the first DLC, the Mini-Boss Skin Pack, will be given when you purchase the game on PS3. It features three fan-favorite boss characters.
