With the new Ratchet & Clank game for PS4 coming to E3 2015 as a playable title on the show floor, Insomniac Games has decided to release some brand new details, including a new trailer.
The trailer features extracts from the film but also showcases gameplay footage for the first time.
“ We started out thinking of Ratchet & Clank (PS4) as a “re-imagining” of the 2002 original, revised to tie in with the deeper version of Ratchet’s origin story as seen in the film,” said Insomniac, on the official PlayStation Blog. “We envisioned a curated Ratchet & Clank experience that borrowed from the spirit of the classic PS2 titles while infusing some of the best elements from the Ratchet & Clank Future games.”
Despite its nod back to the original game, Ratchet & Clank (PS4) will feature new planets, new Clank gameplay, new boss fights and fight sequences, and graphical enchancements. One of the big changes over the original is with the weapons. Insomniac says that old favourites will feature, but players can expect the majority of weapons to be brand new, including the Pixelizer (which destroys enemies into 8-bit pixels).
If you pre-order Ratchet & Clank (PS4) you will unlock The Bouncer, one of the fan-favourite weapons from Ratchet & Clank 2.
PSU will be going hands-on with Ratchet & Clank at E3 2015 next week. Stay tuned!
