Insomniac Games has announced that it will be bringing Ratchet & Clank: QForce to PlayStation 3 in autumn 2012.
The game forms part of the dynamic duo’s 10th anniversary celebrations, which Insomniac is also commemorating with the launch of the Ratchet & Clank Trilogy this summer.
Speaking on the EU PlayStation Blog, Insomniac CEO Ted Price revealed that the studio has been listening to fan demand for a fresh title, and more importantly, one that adheres to the series’ classic third-person camera.
As a result of this, Ratchet & Clank: QForce (known as Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault in the U.S.) was born, which will be made available as a download and Blu-ray release in Europe, and a download-only title in North America.
Aside from the using the classic camera, Price promised that QForce will see a return to the series’ classic weapons and controls. In addition, it’ll also feature an online component, which offers “a whole new way to play Ratchet & Clank with your friends.”
That’s about all there is to go on right now, but we’ll be sure to keep you posted on any extra details as we get them. Stay tuned.
