Raven Software’s long-rumored contributions to military shooter series Call of Duty have been confirmed via a job posting on the firm’s official website.
The posting confirms the developer is currently on the lookout for a ‘designer-builder,’ and reads, “RAVEN SOFTWARE, developer of numerous award-winning games, including contributions to the blockbuster Call of Duty series is seeking passionate designers to join an established team at work on a first-person shooter."
Raven is rumored to be facilitating development of this year’s entry in the FPS franchise alongside Sledgehammer Games and Infinity Ward, and is also believed to be lending Treyarch a hand in cobbling together multiplayer maps for CoD: Black Ops.
2011’s Call of Duty has yet to be officially revealed, though it is believed to be a successor to Modern Warfare 2. We’ll have more as it breaks.
