Rayman Legends PS Vita delayed

Ubisoft has confirmed that the PlayStation Vita version of Rayman Legends has been delayed.

The vibrant platformer will now be released for Sony’s handheld on September 13, with Ubisoft telling PocketGamer the delay was “in order to apply the final level of polish gamers expect from a Rayman game."

Rayman Legends is already available in the U.S. for PlayStation 3, PC, Xbox 360 and Wii U, and is scheduled to ship in Europe on August 30.

The game was originally believed to be a Nintendo Wii U-exclusive.

Those of you who purchase the game on PS Vita will be able to enjoy some extra content though, including five extra maps, two new costumes and touchscreen functionality.
