Speaking in a roundtable with 1up.com and the Leipzig Games Convention this week, Resident Evil 5 Producer Masachika Kawata described his experience with the upcoming Survival Horror outing, claiming it “might paralyse you with horror.”
“I thought the game would be more of an action game until I played it,” admitted Kawata, before stating that the title “might paralyse you with horror.”
Elsewhere, Kawata divulged several details on the game’s co-op mode, giving examples as to how players will be able to utilize the new feature.
One example included how gamers can work together to obtain new items previously unreachable by a single character, while the other described how both players can navigate dark areas successfully, with one character holding a torch and the other providing cover fire.
“We have integrated quite a different variety of situations where you can both play in co-op," he said.
Resident Evil 5 is due for release on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on March 13, 2009.
