Rebellion’s Post-Apocalyptic Action-Survival Romp Atomfall Is Getting A TV Series

Rebellion and Two Brothers Pictures are adapting Atomfall, the post-apocalyptic video game set in England in the Lake District that launched in May last year.

Harry and Jack Williams of Two Brothers will pen the Atomfall TV adaptation, having found great success in the past on various productions and earning themselves an Emmy and Golden Globe. It will be co-produced with Rebellion, the studio best known as the creators behind the Sniper Elite franchise prior to developing Atomfall.

Speaking on the announcement of the TV series, the pair commented:

Atomfall has such a distinctive British tone and setting, and it’s been a real joy developing it alongside the Rebellion team – especially as two brothers working alongside two brothers (Jason and Chris Kingsley). There’s something very exciting about expanding this strange, unsettling story for television.

Jason Kingsley (CEO and Creative Director) and Chris Kingsley (Co-Founder, CTO) of Rebellion, will served as executive producers of the Atomfall series.

Harry and Jack demonstrated a clear love for Atomfall and talked about their own particular endings when they were playing the game. It is always exciting to work with people who share the same passion for creating and telling great stories and we are sure that this partnership will help to deliver a television series that will delight fans of the game and beyond.

Atomfall takes place during the 1960s during an alternative history, with the Windscale nuclear disaster has transformed much of the North West of England into a radioactive quarantine zone. You can read our full review here.
