Rec Room Is Not Coming To PSVR 2 Due To 'Economic Reasons'

The developer behind Rec Room has revealed that there are no plans to bring the game to PSVR 2.

Speaking during a Reddit AMA, while the studio said it would ‘love’ to bring the game to Sony’s new VR headset, it simply doesn’t make economic sense.

No current plans to bring RR to PSVR2. We’ve looked into it, it’s a non-trivial port, and we haven’t found a way to make it make economic sense. In an ideal world we would love to bring RR to PSVR2, but we just can’t justify the cost based on the numbers. Sucks I know, but that’s the truth.

Rec Room is currently available on a number of platforms, including PS5, PS4, PSVR, PC, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One.
