Reggie Fils-Aime "intrigued" by LittleBigPlanet

Nintendo of America President Reginald “Reggie” Files-Aime recently expressed interest in the forthcoming PlayStation 3 title LittleBigPlanet, suggesting the ambitious title should come to the Wii.

Fils-Aime was speaking to SFGate on what titles he feels would prove interesting on the Nintendo platform, immediately bringing up Sony’s LittleBigPlanet among others:

"I’ve been very intrigued with Little Big Planet”, he said, before adding, "I don’t know that it belongs on their [Sony’s] platform.”

Due for release in North America early next year, LittleBigPlanet allows users to construct their own personal space by utilizing a variety of characters to shape and manipulate the world around them to their liking. Players can do this on both an individual, cooperative or competitive basis.

The game has already stirred up a significant amount of hype since its unveiling earlier this year, with the BBC’s Darren Waters describing early impressions as “perhaps one of the most dazzling demos I’ve seen in the last 10 years.”

Stay tuned for more on LittleBigPlanet as it becomes available.
