Sam Lake, creative director at Remedy, has revealed that he’d like to try his hands at developing a “crazy, huge-budget, dark gothic fantasy” video game now that Alan Wake 2 is done and dusted.
Speaking with GQ, Lake was quizzed about what he’d like to do in his life outside of his illustrious career in video games, and it seems he’s got another project on his mind.
Would I ever do anything else? Yeah. I’m still thinking that I will. There will be a time when I retire. It’s just that… this has all been so engaging. One was this crazy, huge budget, dark gothic fantasy, which I haven’t used for anything yet…
Lake has served at Remedy for over 20 years now, and has worked on a number of iconic franchises including Alan Wake, Max Payne, Quantum Break, and Control. If you’ve played the early Max Payne titles, then you’ll probably remember that Lake’s likeness was used as the face for Max’s in-game model.
