Speaking during an interview with WCCFTech, Gunfire Games‘ John Pearl and Ben Cureton have revealed that Remnant II will be supported by post-launch paid DLC, although free updates for balance and QoL additions will be free.
When asked about post-launch support, Pearl confirmed that there are plans for DLC including paid content, but wouldn’t go into any further details.
We’re looking to support the game well after launch with updates as well as paid DLC. We’re not currently discussing details on DLC other than to say we are doing some. We’ll have more info to discuss on it later.
Meanwhile, Cureton added the following in regards to free updates:
On the progression side, besides just balance patches, we also want to include as many useful quality of life (QOL) features as we can. Of course, balance and QOL stuff would be totally free of charge.
Gunfire Games had previously confirmed that the game will feature a 60 FPS Performance Mode for PS5, although there’s no word on a Quality Mode yet. Remnant II is due for release on July 25, 2023 for PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S.
