Remothered: Broken Porcelain Remastered is in development for PS5, PC, Nintendo Switch 2, and Xbox Series X/S, Stormind Games has announced.
While a release date has yet to be announced, the remastered version of the game will include a number of enhancements thanks to the switch to Unreal Engine 5, allowing for Lumen Dynamic Global Illumination, overhauling the lighting system completely with shadows and atmosphere responding dynamically to the environment. Meanwhile, various environmental assets have been rebuilt with high-resolution models, and character models have been spruced up, bringing improved fidelity and material quality.
Remothered: Broken Porcelain Remastered takes place in the Ashmann Inn, which is packed with resources and dangers in abundance, with players forced to scavenge for supplies while using stealth where possible by creeping through the shadows or creating diversions. Meanwhile, the game’s brain-taxing riddles are rooted firmly within the game world, with solutions linked to the Inn’s dark history. The cast is bolstered by faces both new and old, while real-time cinematics offer a level of immersion the series hasn’t seen up to this point.
The truths buried in the Ashmann Inn will not be discovered easily: its many mysteries are intertwined and guarded by the looming threat of the stalkers, powerful hunters trapped in time and the confines of its walls.
Remothered: Broken Porcelain is the second entry in the franchise and was originally released in October 2020 for PS4, PC, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One.
