Report: Dying Light PS4 runs at a steady 30fps, full 1080p

Pixel wizards Digital Foundry have revealed a few interesting snippets of info regarding the performance of the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of parkour-fused zombie romp, Dying Light.

According to its in-depth report, the PS4 release clocks in at 1920×1080, giving it the edge over the Xbox One version, which runs at 1536×1080—that’s a 20 percent drop in pixel count.

Elsewhere, it was confirmed that both versions of the game, developed by Dead Island creator, Techland, run at 30fps. However, it was noted the Xbox One edition dips below 30fps more frequently than the PS4 release.

Digital Foundry is still busy analysing the game, although this makes for interesting reading nonetheless.

Dying Light is out in the U.S. now and hits Europe on Friday for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. This applies to the digital versions of the game (save for the U.S.), with physical copies delayed until February 27.
