The Resident Evil 2 fan remake from InvaderGamers has received a brand new trailer this week, confirming the game’s Alpha will launch in summer 2015.
Resident Evil 2: Reborn has endured a long development process and utilizes assets from the on-the-rails shooter, Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles, released on Wii and PlayStation 3 a few years back.
As you can see from the trailer below, the ambitious project uses the over-the-shoulder gameplay mechanics introduced in Resident Evil 4, though attempts to remain true to Capcom’s 1998 survival horror classic despite the modern overhaul.
While Capcom hasn’t announced a proper remake, it has admitted that a revamp of its fan-favorite sequel is possible. Celebrate the music of Resident Evil 2 in our dedicated ‘Classic Tracks’ feature here.
