Resident Evil 4 Remake Sales Hit Over 7 Million Units Globally

Capcom has announced in its latest financial results that Resident Evil 4 Remake has sold 7.02 million units worldwide since its launch in March 2023 across PS5, PS4, PC, and Xbox Series X/S.

Further, in addition to reaching a cumulative total of 7.02 million units sold for Resident Evil 4, which launched in March 2023, and contributing to catalog sales growth, the Company conducted proactive promotional campaigns to gain wider recognition for its IPs and acquire new fans, focusing primarily on series title sales, such as Resident Evil 2. As a result, catalog title sales reached 36.29 million units, exceeding 29.3 million units in the same period of the previous fiscal year and boosting earnings.

Meanwhile, Capcom also revealed during the same financial results that Dragon’s Dogma 2 continues to perform well, with 2.62 million copies sold worldwide since its release in March 2024.

While on the subject of Resident Evil, it has been claimed by noted insider Dusk Golem that Resident Evil 9 is gearing up for an announcement soon and may launch in early 2025.
