Capcom has lifted the curtains on one of Resident Evil 5’s unlockable game modes, namely the popular Mercenaries mini-game previously featured in the third and fourth instalments of the popular Survival Horror franchise.
The new mode is accessed upon successful completion of Resident Evil 5’s main campaign, and once again has players racing against the clock in an attempt to rack up as many kills as possible.
Furthermore, IGN reports that the mini game will accommodate 10 playable characters, though it is believed a large chunk of these are merely variations of Chris and Sheva with alternate weapon sets. Still, expect a few other familiar faces to pop up along the way nonetheless.
Resident Evil 5 is due out on March 13 in North America and Europe, with Japan receiving the game today. Expect a review in the near future.
