Resident Evil 7 4D candle revealed, immerse yourself with the scent of old timber and blood

Merchoid has announced the official Resident Evil 7 4D Candle to complement your survival horror gaming experience this January.

The ‘Blood, Sweat and Fears’ Candle functions for around 18-20 hours, and aims to further immerse you within the spooktacular world of Resident Evil 7: biohazard by giving off a distinct whiff of foisty, old timer and blood. The 4D Candle has been designed specifically with virtual reality gaming in mind.

The virtual reality experience is incredible, but we want to take you one step further than that. While playing the game, imagine if you could smell everything you could see and hear. The game becomes incredibly immersive as it tricks all your senses into thinking that you’re really there,” said Community Manager, Jessica Adams.

The 4D candle is 100% officially licensed Resident Evil merchandise; this means Capcom have smelt the candle and found it scary to enough to give their seal of approval. We’d even suggest that using the Blood, Sweat and Fears 4D Candle is the definitive way to experience the game. Be careful though, with an experience this horrifying, the candle might not be the only smell you notice in the room…”

Fancy picking this item up? Then put aside £14.99/$15.99 for when the 4D Candle ships on January 20, 2017, four days before Resident Evil 7 arrives on shelves. Don’t forget you can pick up various other Resident Evil-themed merchandise here

Resident Evil 7 is scheduled for release on PS4, PC, and Xbox One on January 24, 2017. The game takes place four years after the events of Resident Evil 6, and takes place within the fictional Louisiana town of Dulvey, where we find newcomer Ethan Winters searching the mysterious Baker family plantation for his missing wife, Mia.

Be sure to download the Resident Evil 7 demo now via the PlayStation Store to see how the upcoming horror sequel is shaping up. Be prepared for a tough time though; Capcom has suggested that Resi 7 is the hardest game in the series to date.
