The upcoming expansion was featured extensively during Capcom’s Resident Evil stage presentation at the Tokyo Game Show 2017 over the weekend, where the publisher also revealed new details on the upcoming Nintendo Switch version of Resident Evil Revelations.
Not a Hero takes place following the events of Resident Evil 7’s main campaign, and sees former S.T.A.R.S operative Redfield hunting down a vital target in the Baker incident.
As with the main game, Not a Hero takes place from a first-person perspective, although there’s a few new features. For starters, the DLC reintroduces the classic ECG to monitor your health, and there’s a HUD on-screen to track Redfield’s progress and stats.
In addition, Chris is armed with a number of powerful weapons, including the Albert handgun and Thor’s Hammer shotgun. Players will explore both familiar and new locations, as well as encountering new foes such as the poisonous, white molded.

Capcom confirmed in July that the survival horror title sold 3.7 million copies worldwide, although that figure is down significantly over previous instalments in the series during the same time frame.
Resident Evil 8 is currently in the early planning stages at Capcom, although no details are known at this point. Interestingly, series creator Shinji Mikami has expressed interest in directing the project if given the chance.
